Psychological Assessments & Consulting

Dr. Amanda Hackwell, Ph.D., NCSP

Licensed Psychologist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, Clinic Director

As a mother myself, I understand the rewards and challenges that come with parenting. Unfortunately, there is no manual that tells us how to navigate the world of meeting our child’s needs.  Just when you think you’ve figured out one child, the other(s) are completely different and you feel like you are starting from scratch.  I’ve learned that it is OK to need support, advice, and guidance from others. I believe that it takes a village, and building your support
network is invaluable in supporting your children!

I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, in Eugene, OR, and my doctorate degree from Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff AZ.  I have been working with
individuals with disabilities such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other behavioral challenges for the past 8 years.  My educational career has afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse
population ranging in age from 2 to adult. As a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), I understand the needs of children in the school setting with an extensive background and knowledge of IEPs and the IEP process.  I truly enjoy being able to provide parents with support from the lens of a private psychologist, school psychologist, and parent.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and two dogs. We enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, and anything outdoors.

Recently, Dr. Hackwell was named by the Phoenix Review as one of The Best Psychologists In Phoenix!
