Dawn Trueblood

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Arizona with 20 years of experience dedicated to the field of school psychology. I earned my undergraduate degree from Carroll University and my doctorate from Northern Arizona University (NAU). Throughout my career, I have worked extensively within local Arizona school districts and currently serve as a supervisor for school psychology practicum students from both NAU and the University of Arizona.

My clinical focus specializes in the Preschool through 6th-grade age group. I possess deep expertise in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) including Dyslexia, Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Developmental Delays (DD). Beyond assessment, I am passionate about intervention; I have extensive experience providing small-group therapy and have a profound understanding of the complexities surrounding anxiety and emotional dysregulation.

As a mother, I bring a unique and empathetic lens to my work. I understand that behind every evaluation is a family seeking clarity, and I truly love being a psychologist who helps children and their parents access the essential supports and interventions they need to thrive. My commitment to the field was recently recognized by my peers, who voted me “School Psychologist of the Year” through the Arizona Association of School Psychologists for 2025-2026.
